Obituary of V. Mark Swett
Mr. V. Mark Swett, affectionately known by his grandchildren as PopPop, was born on April 26, 1951 in Charlotte, NC, to the late Donald R. Swett, and Caroline Baker Swett and sadly passed on March 26, 2024 at the age of 72 at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA.
He was a member of St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church in Hilton Head, SC. Two of his favorite pastimes were fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Mark leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of 29 years, MaLinda Blue Swett; children, Frank Croft, John (Sandy) Croft, Danielle (Timmy) Shea, Jessica (Jade) Coston, Elisha (George) Boggs, and Micah (Maria) Swett, 17 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. 1 great-grandson on the way in May.
Mark was a graduate of Garinger High School, Charlotte, NC, Class of 1970 and worked in construction for over 50 years.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mark's name to Dragon Boat Beaufort, American Cancer Society, or plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of V. Mark Swett, please visit our Tree Store.
Services for Mark will be private and held at a later date. Condolences may be made to the Swett family at Simplicity Bluffton.
Mark will be deeply missed, but his love and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
