Obituary of William G. Rose

WILLIAM GENE ROSE, “Bill”, passed away of natural causes, at MUSC Hospital on July 23, 2015 at the age of 70. Bill was married to Carmilita Cueme Rose for 24 wonderful years. Bill is survived by his brothers Don Rose of Rogersville, TENN., Dave Rose of Monks Corner, S.C., Dan Rose of Charleston, S.C., his sister Nancy Hopson of Omar, West Virginia, his children Jeffrey Rose of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Jennifer Rose-Glick of Columbia, S.C., Jackie Boursiewicz of Summerville, S.C., four Grandsons, Nicholas Thrash, Neill Glick, Kyle and Alex Boursiewics, Adelard Newton, one granddaughter Brooke Boursiewicz, as well as his nieces and nephews in the USA and many loving family members living in the Philippines. Bill was preceded in death by his parents James Milton Rose and Mable Faye Rose, of Benham, Kentucky. Bill was born in Detroit, Michigan December 19, 1944. He was a trained Navy electrician, later becoming Charleston’s premier residential and commercial swimming pool Contractor for over 20 years. He also was a Commercial General Contractor and Real Estate Investor. Bill was a professional musician. He began playing the guitar at an early age, recorded two original songs, and played professionally with the Naturals band and was a founding member of the StarLifters band at the NCO Club at Charleston’s Air Force Base. Other interest and hobbies included the love of natural water environments, various water sports, traveling, enjoying a duel residence in Argao, Cebu, Philippians, where a neighborhood “Rose Hills” was named after him. He was a custom wood craftsman, a charitable person to many and he loved evangelizing the gospel as a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A memorial service in honor of Bill’s life is scheduled for Saturday at 4 pm on August 1, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 2556 Senator Gasque Road, Mullins, SC., All family and friends are welcome to attend the memorial services and reception.
