Obituary of Clarence Allen

Clarence J. Allen, 89, of Hanahan, SC, passed away on October 30, 2018. He was born on November 3, 1928 in Marion County Georgia.
Clarence is survived by his wife Alice of 65 years, daughters Sharon (Curt) Snouffer, Valerie (Ted) Bouthiller, son Eric (Annette) Allen, sister Margie (Bill) Brandenburg, brother Clenton (Shirley) Allen, sister-in-law Grace Allen, grandchildren Glenn McKendree Jr., Timothy (Amy) McKendree, Ted Bouthiller Jr., great grandchildren Michaela McKendree and Charlotte Bouthiller, nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his mother Reba Thelma Allen, father William Gus Allen, brother Orrel Allen, and daughter Sandra Kay Allen Mahar.
Clarence retired from the Army, Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) as a retail manager and was a Security Guard at Yeamans Hall Club from 1973 until he retired in 2017.
Clarence was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. He knew no strangers and was kind to everyone. He enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music, cheering on his favorite teams, the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and Georgia Bulldogs.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, 281 Treeland Dr., Ladson, SC 29456.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to your favorite charity in honor of Clarence.
