Obituary of Ekou Koffi

Ekou Koffi was born on November 22, 1955 in Ivory Coast West Africa.  He came to the US as a student attending Baptist College now Charleston Southern University, where he played soccer and studied business. He then transferred to Southern University where he met Mildred Theresa Koffi his first wife.  They moved to Aiken SC where he attended USC at Aiken and had his first child Niamkey Koffi in 1983. After receiving his Master Degree in Business Administration, Mr. Koffi then moved his family back to Charleston SC where he worked various jobs such as timeshare, Post & Courier, and DSS.  He then decided to go into business for himself.  He started small and met lifelong friends he made family along the way.  He started small by wholesaling pantyhose to small town stores, to owning a clothing store, to selling cars, and maintaining the braiding salon his wife left behind when she passed away in 2003.  He then married Angele Koffi and had his son John Koffi in 2009. Mr. Koffi loved to learn new things technology and business related.  He enjoyed travelling, fishing and loved cars especially a Mercedes. He is preceded into death by his mother and father, Evran Jeanne Akoua & Brou Albert Koffi, brother Simon, sister Niamkey Martine, and first wife Mildred Theresa Koffi.  Mr. Koffi is survived by his wife Angele Koffi, daughter Niamkey Koffi, and sons John Koffi, Pacome Droh, Lucas Droh, and Batoua Droh.
