Obituary of Edward B. Craven, Sr.

Pork Chop was born on February 8, 1951 in charleston SC son of the late Lawton J Craven Sr and Daisy Bell Carter Craven. Pork Chop retired from the Charleston County School Bus Shop. He loved to hunt, saltwater fish, Farm, and be a Mechanic . Most of all he loved his family.

Surviving are his: Sister Mary Lorraine Craven of John’s Island , Brother : Lawton J Craven Jr of John’s Island, Son Edward B Craven Jr “Dink” (Cindy Lea) of Ravenel , Daughter Cynthia M Shiell (Jamie) of Givhans . 3 Grandchildren: Johnathan White, Leland Shiell, Summer Shiell all of Givhans. He is also survived by 3 Stepson’s: Willis Beatty(Janene), Michael Beatty(Toni), Loran Beatty and their families.

The Family would like to express our love and Thanks to the Givhan’s community and Trinity United Methodist Church for all the love and care shown to Pork Chop and Family. We would also like to send our thanks and love to Will , Sissy, Lindsey and Melissa  from Intrepid Hospice for their care and compassion of Mr. Craven.

Edward B Craven Sr 67 of John’s Island (Mattis) SC Husband of Vivian E Craven entered into eternal rest on Friday February 1 2019 at his Daughter’s home. Friends and Family are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Simplicity Ladson. Funeral services will take plae at the same location on Saturday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m.

Flowers will be accepted or Donations can be made in Mr. Craven’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
