Obituary of Glennie David Lambert

Glennie David Lambert, 62, of Goose Creek SC passed away Saturday November 30, 2019 at Bon Secours Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston, SC. 
 
Glennie better known as David was born in Columbia, SC on November 20, 1957 to Harvelyn C Lambert and Glennie Stanley Lambert. David received his GED through Goose Creek High School. He started his career as an electrician at MUSC in Charleston, SC and later attended Neilson Electronic trade school in Charleston,SC and went to work for Mobay Chemical in Goose Creek, SC where he later retired. 
 
On November 22, 1980 David married Iona Marie. The couple lived in North Charleston with her two children who David later adopted and made them his own at the wish of the children. 
 
David is survived by his wife Iona of Goose Creek, SC, his son Robert Eugene Lambert and his wife Angela Marie Lambert of Victoria, KS and daughter Heather Marie Hartzell and husband Steven Wade Hartzell of Hanahan, SC. Also surviving are two granddaughters Alexyss Jayne Lambert of Lawrence, KS and Kimberlee Renee Lambert-Hartzell of Hanahan,SC, a grandson Christopher Michael Hartzell of Hanahan, SC and a great grandson Carson Avery Hartzell of Hanahan, SC. 
 
David is predeceased by his father , Glennie Stanley Lambert and his mother Harvelyn C Carter.  
 
Also surviving are three sisters Diane E Lambert of Hanahan, SC, Kayren L Chaplin of Goose Creek, SC, and Ginger M Broach of North Charleston, SC. Also two brothers Edward D Lambert of Hanahan, SC and Michael  D Lambert of Hanahan, SC. There also are two step sisters and three step brothers. 

A Visitation will be held Friday December 6, 2019 at 2pm and Service to follow at 3pm at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, 281 Treeland Drive Ladson, SC 29456.
 
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made on David’s behalf to St Judes Children’s Hospital.
