Obituary of James Inabinet

Mr. James Carsey (JC) Inabinet III, of Charleston, SC passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the age of 66 following an unexpected illness.

JC was born to parents James and Carolyn Inabinet on June 16, 1953 in Columbia, SC. He grew up with his younger brother, John, and attended A.C. Flora High School. He later graduated from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years as a psychiatric nurse.  JC went on to attend Wingate University, while pursuing a career in sales. JC married Connie in 1979 (since divorced), and the couple had six children. He continued to work in sales until his retirement.

An avid fan of the University of South Carolina, JC especially enjoyed all Gamecock athletics, particularly football.  Once an avid outdoorsman, JC has supported the SC Department of Natural Resources for many years. In his final years, he was an active member of a local support group, where he served as a sponsor and close friend to many.

JC is survived by his mother, Carolyn and brother John of Columbia; children, Ashley, Amber, Jamie, Tyler, and Anna of Charleston; and three grandchildren, Porter, Sage, and Lilah. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla; and father, James Carsey Jr.
