Obituary of Kirk Demond Davis

Kirk is survived by his daughters, Lauren (Will) Simons, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Julianna (Gustavo) Luna , of Watertown, NY, grand-daughters Colbie and Mia, his love, Wendy Cumbee, of North Charleston, SC, his mother, Betty (Bobby) Bogart of Goose Creek, sisters Donna (Randall) Davis-Timmons of North Charleston, SC, Daphne (Michael) Shier of Greenwood, SC, nieces Savannah and Suzanne, nephews Dustin and Charlie, along with countless aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kirk proudly served in the USAF and as paramedic for Berkeley County. He retired early due to severe neck and back issues. As a paramedic he brought home every call he went on and continued to pray for them. Kirk never knew a stranger he would not encourage or help. Kirk did not take the easy road. He took the road less traveled. One thing he let shine was his love of the Lord. Every day he praised Him. 

Kirk was a son, a brother, a father, and a grandfather. There was never a doubt the depth of his love for his daughters, Lauren and Julianna. He prayed for them every day. His granddaughters were the light of his life and there was no stopping him from sharing their pictures. Kirk loved to hang out on the patio watching the sunset while enjoying a cup of coffee, eating watermelon in the back-yard and finding one grow in that spot later, walks in the woods, fishing, swimming with Colbie, and reminiscing of the past. Over the years he and Wendy fostered many dogs together, giving them the love they deserved. Kirk loved being outside in any capacity. 

In days to come his girls will remember stopping at the corner store to get a soda even if he was only running errands for 10 minutes, spearmint gum, swimming, catching their first fish, playing catch in the front yard and being loved unconditionally.

In his final days his comfort, and ours, is knowing he was good with God, felt the Holy Spirit with him  and was at peace. Kirk is now at the feet of his Savior rejoicing to be whole again.
