Obituary of Derek Paul Kaiser

Derek Paul Kaiser, 33, of Summerville, SC passed away Saturday May 22, 2021. He was a caring father, son, grandson, brother, brother in law, uncle, cousin and friend.

 

He is survived by his beautiful daughter Shyanne, his loving parents Ann and Gene Sports and Brad and Debbie Kaiser as well as 8 siblings: Kylene (Brian) Surowiec, Rebecca (Ryan) Owens, David Sports, Lori Sports, Chris Sports, Ryan Kaiser, Shannon Shoenight, Jerrod Lynn, and Daniel Lynn along with nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Derek.

 

Derek was an avid sport enthusiast who loved the Dallas Cowboys and Kobe Bryant. We know he is having fun playing the game of his life with Kobe and smiling down on all of us.

 

Derek touched so many lives and his life will continue to shine in all of us. Kobe said it best: “We don’t quit. We don’t cower. We don’t run. We endure and conquer!”

 

While the loss is one of the hardest things we have ever had to deal with, we will continue to remember that love conquers all.

 

Heroes may come and go but legends live forever! Derek - you will live forever in all of us and shine daily through your daughter.

 

A private memorial service will be held and the family will have a celebration of life with close friends at a later date.
