Obituary of Exelene H. Winter

Exelene Howard Winters, 90, widow of Henry Pringle Winters, passed away on August 30, 2015. She was born on November 28, 1924 in Lexington, AL, to the late Guston Howard and Willie Morrison Howard. She graduated from Lexington High School and Draughons Business College, Nashville, TN.?She met and married Henry, the love of her life, in Nashville where he was stationed in the Army. After his discharge in 1945, they moved to Charleston, SC. After 25 years of service, she retired from the Charleston County R.M.C. Office. Exelene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Oreine Ritter. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Bouknight, granddaughter Tonya Velissarios, two great grandchildren Tiffany and Theodore Velissarios, nieces Barbara INgram, Pat Gean, Donna Stancil, and nephew Ricky Ritter, all of Alabama. A thank you to her special caregivers Krissy, Sheronne, Bernie, Debbie and Pam. There will be a graveside service on Friday September 4th 2015 at 2:30 (Carolina Memorial Park 7113 Rivers Ave Charleston SC 29406).
